Study Hours

• been quite a while since i last blog... getting busy with school since exams are around the corner... juz handed in e design assignment yesterday and wil be having control quiz first thing tmr... have not study for it... still got to memorise the verse which was given as homework from e VL class...

• trying a new scheme right now... its called the 30 hour/week... saw it on someone's blog... its a challenge i must say... but its a good way to 'force' myself to study or else i dunno what i'll be spending my time on... actually there's a recommanded study hours for secondary, jc and poly students in church but they never say anything for uni students... haha... maybe we should be old enuff to know what to do lah... no need extra 'motivation'... but me no motivation cannot start engine leh... so must impose self-motivation... will update next week if i managed to complete my 30 study hours... hopefully i will do exceedingly lah... of cuz its not juz e hours u put in but what u put in e hour... heard tt from michael (he always uses such phrases... like 'change is e only constant in life'... we always hear tt in church dun we...so i always makes me wonder which church he goes to...)

• why 30 hours/week? secondary n jc students r encouraged to study 20 hours/week while poly students 10 hours/week... of course like most things in life... its not a proportional thing... if it is i'll be setting a 5 hour/week but i know that is going to be very insufficient though its easy to reach...

Welfare Services Club

welfare services club or WSC for short... i've been in this club since year 1 in uni... for 3 years, i've join various committees within e club n taken up different portfolios.. i never thought i would stay on in e sma e eca for so long...

in year 1, i joined one of the supporting committee -- volunteer management (vm); in year 2, i was suppose to continue to join vm but i got a prompting from e Lord to go try for e secretariat supporting committee, got e feeling tt i'll be offered e asst. hon. gen. post... well e post did come though it was in year 3...
year 3 was especially significant, for once i was in e mgt comm, more responsibility, more work, more friends...

just had e final event on monday... thank you dinner at miramar hotel... after the event really contemplating on e option of leaving but i felt if i don't go after the after TYD activity with them, there's not much chance left liao... went to news room bar after tt went back to hotel at 3am... played cards for a while before we hit e sack at 5am... woke up at 10am... after checking-out, we went for dim sum lunch... then share cab back hall...

right now, i'm feeling sad... but all good things must come to an end... though i didn't cry on monday night, i felt lost... yes, there's no more tiring committees but i will miss e long late night meetings followed by makan sessions.... outings and chalets... through good times and bad... though our term of office has ended... 9th comm will never end... and friends are friends forever if e Lord r Lord of them... i can't help it... my tears juz tickled down whenever this thought comes to mind... must start adapting to this new found freedom... a mixture of feelings... never felt like this for other committees and other clubs when i step down...

recess? whats that?

its e week before recess... a time to catch up on tutorials not done... and on some sleep...

though its juz e beginning of a brand new week, there seems to be plenty of things yet to be done... now waiting in the lib for 7pm to arrive... meeting e 9th comm for rehearsal for Thank You Dinner... think they are planning to sing 2 songs... hopefully it wouldn't bwang like last year...

lets see what i have to do:

1. tutorials... tutorials... tutorials ( 5 subjects * 6 tutorials each = 30 tutorials) but dunno where to find time doing them...
2. meet FYP tutor on Monday then gotta rush down to Great World for WSC Thank You Dinner (think e 9th comm still wanna go out after e event... guess i'll skip that)
3. SENTOSA!!! on tuesday... this is e thing i look forward to for e entire week... gotta start planning e activities liao
4. bridge training on tuesday night
5. wednesday gotta do HRM project discussion then go YMCA for BS
6. thursday maybe gotta meet up to do the e405n assignment... then oso its cg day
7. friday is mummy's day... gg down town to shop shop
8. saturday is service day...
9. sunday is sleeping day...

wow... i'm really packed... guess its time to work real hard... its juz less than 60 days before exams commences...

• haven been here for a while... think nothing v significant happened... thats why...

• today was a interesting day... missed the 0830 lecture again... yes the same 0830 lecture every week... its tough waking up so early...

• gotta wake up for e 0930 class... its HRM tutorial... michael heng leh... cannot play play... anyway... i was slightly late... 2-3mins bah... i opened the tutorial room door and to my surprise... a rather pleasant surprise... its not michael... yeah!!!! e tutor say he went for a conference last week thats why michael took over him... he's a friendly tutor... pass all our technovations for our eproject... some tutors, nt juz michael keep rejecting the ideas from other classes...

• went for cg at zhiyang place... the place though nt far from the mrt station... but kinda quiet... dangerous too coz got construction site nearby... nt many ppl walk there too...

• reached hall quite early... went to look for zion to pass him the cd on tongues... talk to him for like 20 mins or so... gotta know whats he is up to...haha... he's kinda 'lost' right now coz he like dunno which church to go to... then got a few friends keep asking him to go to their church... he felt like there's competition between the churches... like sales person like that... assured him that it does not really matter which church he goes to... most importantly is that is a strong local church where he can grow and be rooted into the Word... he also mentioned that he's kinda of scared of coming to chc because he heard we speaking in tongues... hope that the cd will enlightened him... he's oso worried that even when he join a church he won't stay for long... i believe that after he return to hk... he will continue to grow.... praying that he will confirm his stand in the Lord soon, he has yet to say the sinner's prayer... he still seem uncertain... well, he did mention mention he prays to God and sometimes He answers and sometimes He doesn't... it was great talking to him hope i clear some of his questions...
